Floral Pavilion date for Avenue Q puppets
The world’s rudest puppets – and their fellow human cast members - are on their way to the Floral Pavilion as the wickedly funny Avenue Q heads for New Brighton.
Join bright-eyed graduate Princeton, sweet Kate Monster, closet gay Republican Rod, therapist Christmas Eve, Lucy the Sl*t and the outrageous Trekkie Monster next month for musical mischief and bad behaviour aplenty.
Avenue Q was written by Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez – co-creator of Book of Mormon and writer of the songs for Disney’s Frozen, and is described as an irresistibly charming tale of the loveable characters on a downtown New York street trying to make sense of life’s burning issues.
It’s definitely not one for the kids though, with the show including forthright dialogue and songs like Everyone’s a Little Bit Racist and The Internet is for Porn.
This touring production comes from Selladoor Worldwide, the leading international production company founded by two LIPA graduates a decade ago.
Avenue Q is at the Floral Pavilion from April 8-13. Tickets HERE
