Kings of Leon to headline Fusion Festival 2019

Kings of Leon will headline a special event at this year’s Fusion Festival in its new location at Sefton Park.

The US rockers will play at Fusion Presents in a ‘UK festival exclusive’ on August 30.

The main Fusion Festival will take place from August 31-September 1 with a line-up yet to be announced.

Fusion has moved to Sefton Park this year after previous festival weekends which drew thousands of music lovers to Otterspool Prom.

Kings of Leon will be joined on the August 30 bill by Franz Ferdinand, Liverpool legends Echo & the Bunnymen, Circa Waves and BRIT Award winner Sam Fender. More acts are to be announced.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Kings of Leon which was formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999 by brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill and their cousin Matthew.

The multi-Grammy and BRIT Award-winning band has had five chart-topping albums in the UK, along with eight top 40 hits including the 2008 number one Sex on Fire.

Kings of Leon last played Liverpool in February 2017.

Fusion Presents takes place on August 30 and tickets go on sale this Friday, March 8 at 9am. Visit the website HERE
