Bill Murray premiere for Liverpool International Film Festival

Liverpool International Film Festival takes place in the city this week – and includes a premiere of a new film about Bill Murray.

The Bill Murray Stories – Life Lessons From a Mythical Man receives its northern premiere at the Studio at Toxteth TV on Saturday, November 10.

The film not only bottoms the stories of some "mythical" Bill Murray sightings, but the audience will also get to see exclusive footage from various home videos when Murray has turned up, out of the blue.

Festival organiser Mike Gordon said: "It's quite a coup for us to get this prestigious film for its UK provincial premiere. "Everyone remembers Bill Murray from Groundhog Day and the Ghostbusters movies, but this is something quite unique - an amazing insight into the man and some of the quirky things he gets up to. It's so out of character for a big Hollywood star."

Meanwhile the winner of the LiFF award for Best Film has been won by French-born Producer/Director Ivan Noel’s Nine Meals Away from Chaos, a post-apocalyptic horror film shot in Argentina and financed entirely through crowdfunding.

Other screenings over the two-day festival include shorts, documentaries, commercials, and the winner of Best Liverpool Film, The Resurrection of 30 James St.

Liverpool International Film Festival takes place on Friday, November 9 and Saturday, November 10 at Toxteth TV in Windsor Street. More details from the website HERE
