Winter Arts Market returns to Liverpool Cathedral

The Winter Arts Market returns to Liverpool Cathedral next month offering the chance to pick up interesting and unusual Christmas gifts.

Arts, crafts, design, gifts, food and vintage finds will be on offer on dozens of stalls spread around the Liverpool landmark on Saturday, December 1.

More than 200 contemporary designers and craftsmen and women will showcase their work at the event.

There will also be Christmas wreath workshops for adults and a kids’ craft lab to keep younger visitors entertained.

Stalls take over the nave and well in the Cathedral, while Downstairs in the Concert Room, a pop-up vintage and clothing fair will offer a range of vintage clothing, jewellery, handbags, homewares and vinyl alongside work from independent clothing designers.

It is the 10th anniversary of the market, organised by Open Culture, in 2018.

The organisation’s director Charlotte Corrie said: "Open Culture's Winter and Summer Arts Markets have grown enormously from our humble beginnings staging small art fairs outdoors in 2008, facing all the weather the North West could throw at us!

“This is our tenth Winter Arts Market and we're so excited to hit this milestone in such a magnificent venue. There will be a variety of new artists and makers, alongside our audience's favourites and the new addition of clothing designers amidst the Vintage Fair.

“Merseyside overflows with creativity and we're always astounded by the variety, quality and uniqueness of what artists produce and we're delighted to give shoppers the chance to buy their work and support local.”

The Winter Arts Market takes place at Liverpool Cathedral on December 1 from 10am to 7pm. Entrance is £3 and children under 16 go free.
