Famous faces promised at Liverpool Comic Con

Comic Con returns to Liverpool this weekend – and it will feature a stellar range of very special faces known to millions of film and TV fans.

Dirk Benedict, aka Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck from the A-Team and Lt Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica, will be among the special guests making an appearance at Exhibition Centre Liverpool this weekend.

He will be joined in a starry line-up by Verne Troyer, Incredible Hulk Lou Ferrigno, Doctor Who Paul McGann, Star Wars' Boba Fett, aka actor Jeremy Bulloch, and Red Dwarf's Hattie Hayridge among others.

Cosplay enthusiasts, Sci-Fi fans and comic book aficionados are expected to descend on the waterfront venue for the event.

Organisers have delivered on their promise to visitors of a bigger line-up of high-profile guests and Q&A sessions with industry celebrities, along with full-size set and prop builds including spacecraft and vehicles from favourite Sci-Fi films and TV series, and retro arcade game cabs.

There will also be merchandise stalls and cosplay changing facilities.

Andrew Kleek, founder and chief executive of Liverpool Comic Con, has ambitions to make the annual event one of the biggest comic cons in the country, and has signed up to work with ACC Liverpool to build it up over the next three years.

Photo ops with set builds, spacecraft and vehicles will be included in the admission ticket price, although meet and greet and other ops with special guests will be in addition to entry fees.

Weekend tickets that include guaranteed early entry from 9.30am cost from £31.90 and individual day tickets from £16.50. There are discounted rates for the under 10s, while under 5s go free.

Standard Tickets will allow queued access to the event from 11am onwards.
