Have a laugh at Southport Comedy Festival

Southport Comedy Festival returns this week with 18 days of laughter promised in the town.

The line-up for the seventh annual festival includes Jason Manford, Jo Caulfield, Rich Hall, Robin Ince, Jason Byrne and Gary Delaney among a host of other household names and rising stars.

But you’ll have to hurry as some shows are already sold out.

The 2018 festival sees the return of the popular Comedy Club Crawls, while there is also a Children’s Comedy Festival with a comedy trail, cartoon and Halloween workshop and a new show, Monstersaurus, at The Atkinson.

And the hotly-contested final of the Southport New Comedian of the Year competition takes place at The Vincent Hotel on October 13.

There is also an Only Fools and Three Courses charity fundraiser meal at Southport Rugby Club on the same evening, raising money for the Community Link Foundation.
