Liverpool arena promises Christmas panto fe fi fo fun

Panto is coming to Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena this winter with a production of Jack and the Beanstalk promising socially distanced festive family entertainment.

Dancing on Ice champion Jake Quickenden, Leanne Campbell and Bippo will star in the Shone Productions show which will be staged in the Auditorium from December 18-27.

The panto will feature a live band and special effects as well as a huge giant and promises what organisers call plenty of ‘fe fi fo fun’.

Producer James Shone said: “We’ve loved bringing our pantos to the Auditorium and the thought of letting so many people down was heart-breaking.

“With so many other venues announcing they’re unable to stage a panto this year I’m delighted that we have been able to work with the venue so that the people of Liverpool can still enjoy Jack and the Beanstalk.”

Covid-safe measures will include reducing the seating capacity from 1,350 to 500 with one metre plus social distancing.

There will also be social distancing and a one-way system in place around the venue including foyer and Auditorium itself, hand sanitiser stations and deep cleaning between each performance.
