BoJo's World the Panto at the Bombed Out Church

Halloween panto comes to Liverpool’s Bombed Out Church this month when Succour Punch Theatre presents BoJo’s World.

The half-term Covid-safe – Covid-themed - pantomime production will be performed from October 26-30 at the Leece Street landmark.

The dreaded Assassin Bug has made his way to BoJo Land and is infecting all the townspeople.

Can BoJo, along with his friends Doctor, Starman, Dominque and the one and only Dame Maggie Poppins, save the town and stop Assassin Bug in his tracks?

Children will join BoJo on his adventure and along the way will learn the importance of social distancing, washing our hands and wearing face masks - alongside a lot of laughter - through the use of song.

Director Sarah Sharp said: “We’ve managed to create a safe, Covid compliant production to educate and inform children and families about not only what we need to do to stay safe, but why we’re doing it.

"The show on its base level is a children’s show following these loveable characters, but on a higher level is a satire that adults will love too."

And co-writer Faye Draper adds: “It’s important to keep theatre alive. Even when things are dark it’s important to find a way to laugh.

“BoJo not only brings family friendly comedy and let us laugh at our current situation, it also lets us connect with each other even if we're socially distanced.”

The production is supported by Culture Liverpool, Liverpool City Council and Arts Council England and tickets are £9 for adults, £7 for children and £25 for a family ticket.
