A-ha take on Liverpool date as part of UK tour

Norwegian 80s popsters A-ha are coming to Liverpool with their Hunting High and Low tour.

But fans of the band will have to wait a year to see them at the M&S Bank Arena with the trio announcing a date in November 2020.

Tickets for the show go on sale next Friday, November 8 at 10am and cost from £45.45 to £156.

Magne Furuholmen, Morten Harket and Pål Waaktaar-Savoy formed A-ha in Oslo in 1982 and moved to London to try and forge a pop career. The band took its name from a number in guitarist Pål’s songbook.

They released their famous debut, Take on Me, in 1984 and their debut album Hunting High and Low in 1985 – with this current tour marking its 35th anniversary.

Fans at the M&S Bank Arena will be able to enjoy the band performing in 'An Evening With...' format, with an interval.

For the first half of the concert, they will play the 10 songs from the album in the running order of the original release – including The Sun Always Shines on TV and Love is Reason.

Then, on returning to the stage after the interval, they will play new and old, familiar and less-familiar songs.

“We played the full Hunting High And Low album live once before and that was a great experience,” says Pål: “There’s not one song on that album that we’re not looking forward to playing live.”

A-ha are at the M&S Bank Arena on November 11 2020. More from the website HERE
