Liverpool Philharmonic date for Alexandra Burke

Strictly Come Dancing and X Factor star Alexandra Burke is returning to her singing roots with a new UK tour which is coming to Liverpool.

Burke, who is currently dancing up a storm on the Strictly Live tour with professional partner Gorka Marquez (although not, sadly, with an Echo Arena date this year) will appear at the Philharmonic Hall in September.

Her new album, The Thing Is, is released in March, while tickets for the September 13 Liverpool show go on sale this Friday, January 26.

The 29-year-old says: “I’m delighted to be going back on the road again with new music from my album The Truth Is. This album is incredibly personal to me, I’ve poured my heart and soul into this and it reflects the incredible journey I’ve been through – highs and lows, love and loss.”

It’s 10 years this year since Burke won X Factor, performing alongside Beyoncé in the final, and following the win with a number one hit Hallelujah.

More recently she has forged a musicals career and appeared in The Bodyguard and Sister Act at the Liverpool Empire.
