Aqua park attraction comes to Liverpool waterfront

A 300ft inflatable floating assault course is set to be opened next to the Albert Dock for thrill-seekers to try in 2018.

Industry Wake is behind the Adventure Dock Co new aqua park attraction which will be set up in Duke’s Dock between the Albert Dock and the Echo Arena.

It will be open from May to October, with tickets going on sale as early as this Friday.

Food concessions, a wetsuit store and beach-style changing huts will be based on the Albert Dock side.

Tim Woodhead, managing director of Industry Wake, which also operates Liverpool Wake Park at Liverpool Watersports Centre in nearby Queen’s Dock, said: “We have worked at several iconic locations in the past, but none as prestigious or historic as Liverpool’s waterfront.

“Our aqua park is something that will excite those young and old, and I can guarantee that our obstacles will leave thrill-seekers wanting to return over and over again.”

Other events on the World Heritage waterfront next year include the return of the Clipper Round the World yacht race, and the start of the Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta with associated attractions.
